Programs and Services
The Legacy Community School stives to empower students and their families through innovative and individualized learning experiences that nurture the unique genius of each child.
Full Time Program
TLCS offers a progressive 6-12 alternative educational model that prioritizes individualized programming, experiential learning, and mastery of skills to ensure future readiness. In the mornings, students experience their core classes in an interdisciplinary approach, participating in Humanities, STEM, and Health and Wellness blocks. Additionally, students spend their afternoons in enrichment classes that provide them with opportunities to pursue their interests while applying the skills and competencies they are mastering in their core coursework. The full-time program begins in January 2027.

Enrichment Program
TLCS welcomes homeschooling families to participate in our robust enrichment program. Students can enroll in one or more enrichment courses each quarter, where they not only get the chance to explore various subject areas of interest, but also have the opportunity to build their interpersonal and collaborative skills by working with the same group of students for the duration of the quarter. TLCS offers several signature enrichment courses that run regularly, including Career Explorations, Adulting 101, Personal Finance, and Creative Writing; new options are available each quarter based on interest and scheduling. Enrichment classes begin in September 2026.
TLCS provides families with the option of an extended day program that provides students with a safe place to nurture their curiosity through exploration and collaboration. Students may attend the morning program, afternoon program, or both. Light snacks are provided to students and both structured and unstructured activities are available to students during their extended time at TLCS. The extended-day program begins in January of 2027.
Extended Day Program

Extended Year Program
TLCS operates on the premise that true learning is exhibited by mastery of grade-level competencies shown through application of those skills rather than through a traditional grading system. All students progress at their own individual paces, so TLCS offers a three-week extended year program so that students can get additional time and support to master their competencies for that school year. The extended year program begins in June of 2027.
Core Courses Program
TLCS welcomes homeschooling families to participate in our core courses program. Students can enroll in one or both of our core courses-- Humanities and STEM. Students will learn core content through an interdisciplinary and hands-on approach where they work to master grade-level competencies through practical application and project-based learning. The core courses program begins in November of 2026.
TLCS offers individual and small-group tutoring with experienced certified educators. Our approach to tutoring emphasizes hands-on learning, individualization, and joyful learning experiences. Tutoring begins in September 2026.
